On my actual birthday I ate birthday pancakes for breakfast, went to playgroup at the mall for lunch, and had dinner at Gatti Town (maybe we need to re-evaluate our diet?). We played so many games; Mya was no challenge in bowling and I "scored" my folks. How embarrassing for them.

FOUR!
It's official. I turned four years old on the 19th. But, of course, the celebrations were spread out over a week's period. First, I brought cupcakes to school a week early on the 13th (all of our birthdays are around the same time so we're assigned a specific day to bring treats). The whole school decided to recognize my big day by making it Hawaiian Spirit Day. Ok, it was a coincidence but still a nice thought.
My party on the 14th was with my playgroup friends at the new McDonald's (Mom got REALLY lazy this year). Who knew that 20 kids and their moms could fit into the play area there?

Mother's Day
Each year at school we celebrate Muffins with Mom. Usually I eat everything off of my plate and Mom's, but this time Mya did that for me. She also ate the food off of my classmates and their moms.
We did something different this year for Mother's Day. Kyleigh and Mikinley (ok, so actually their parents) have a horse, Backstrap, that was racing at Lone Star Park on Sunday, so the whole family spent the afternoon watching the races. How else would you honor your mother than gambling away her retirement? We were able to go down to where the horses get ready and meet the trainers and jockeys. Then we watched Backstrap race from down there; unfortunately he didn't win (he came in third). At the huge, yummy buffet with all the variety of dishes, I primarily chose to enjoy strawberries and cakes. So, that ended up being some really expensive fruit.

Creepy
I know that my mom loves Mya and me very much, but I did not realize that she actually peeks in on us after we fall asleep and sometimes takes pictures. Maybe I should be going to bed with one eye open.

Easter
After finding our Easter surprises from some bunny I've never even met or seen, we allowed my parents to survive a long mass that morning (plus we got there really early to get seats). We weren't able to have an egg hunt with our friends this year, so we had one at home after lunch. That sister of mine was way too slow and kept trying to eat those plastic eggs (we didn't tell her that the edible treats were actually inside), so I got almost all of them. Mya had to nap yet again, but we went to Nona and Papa's house later for chaos and dinner with our cousins.

Great Wolf Lodge
For Reese's 7th birthday, Lola and Papo came up from San Antonio and we all went on a family "trip" to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine (usually our destinations are further than forty minutes away). The resort was so cool with so many things for the kids to do even out of the water. Sure it cost a pretty penny, but doesn't money just grow on trees? At least that's what the government believes. Oops, I digress.
We got there on Saturday and swam for a while then went out to eat. Afterwards, we all celebrated Reese's birthday with cake in our suite. When we went to bed that night the four of us slept in the same room for the first time ever! My parents didn't sleep well because apparently I was waking them up with all of my potty trips and late-night "requests." They were thankful though that I didn't wake up Mya. The next morning we swam more and then headed home. It was a great time with the Termulo clan, but next time I might be forced to sleep in the living room.

Walking Doll
This is what a baby learns to do while her parents go off on vacation WITHOUT her/us. Nona and Papa kept trying to push her back down, but it didn't work.

St. Kitts
Over Spring Break, Mom and Dad decided to go on a trip . . . WITHOUT us! They went to the West Indies in the Caribbean and had a great time . . . WITHOUT us! Fortunately for us, Nona and Papa let us keep them company during that week. Did I mention that my folks went WITHOUT us?
While they were there, Dad played golf and went scuba diving. In the meantime Mom enjoyed laying in the shade by the pool and beach while reading a good book . . . and nursing the cold I gave her. They did also get to go zip lining together over the canopies of the island. Maybe one day they'll bring us with them.

Spring Snowfall
The evening that my folks returned from their SIX-day trip from the Caribbean, we received another 8+ inches of snow. So, the next morning I went on another walk around the neighborhood, built another snowman, made another batch of snowballs, yada yada yada. This snow is getting old.
