The Blob
This is a picture of inside Mommy's tummy; she had it taken a couple of weeks ago. Whatever that thing is in the picture, it's making her really sick and tired a lot. She must have had this in her tummy before because she said that last time she didn't feel badly. I hope that it goes away soon because Daddy and I want Mommy "back". But, unfortunately they said it's sticking around until February.

My New Shirt
Over the past week I've seen a lot of my family. Ninong Cesar came over to drop off my birthday present (yes, it was late, but they had a good excuse), the gang surprised Papa for his birthday, and then we went down to San Antonio to see the rest of the family. Each time, Mommy kept putting me in this new shirt she got me. She must have really liked it since I must have worn that thing four times in less than seven days. Personally, I thought it was a fashion faux pas, but what do I know- I'm only two. Plus I've learned from Daddy to never scrutinize Mommy's methods. I've heard that there is some sort of dog house that you have to sleep in when you get in trouble.

My Proudest Achievement
I have accomplished a lot in my lifetime- none of which includes using a cup without spilling, staying still for more than 15 seconds, or being patient. And, if throwing tantrums were an actual sport, I'd win the gold. In any case, before I turned two I was identifying shapes and now I am counting to 15. My articulation may not be great (thank God I happen to be pretty close to a speech therapist), but I am also recognizing and naming many of the letters of the alphabet. However, the skill that I am most proud of is using the toilet (or as I like to call it, "pee pee potty"). I may be a bit behind some of my friends in this area and far from getting rid of my diapers, but my parents have been quite excited that I'm not screaming my head off (shocking, right?) when I sit down much less using the potty successfully. Now if I could just convince Daddy to install a tv in the bathroom, I might use it a whole lot more.

Independence Day
This year my folks got brave and decided to keep me up late to watch fireworks for the first time. Brayden's family came with us and took our neighborhood trolley to the Fourth of July celebration here at Craig Ranch. There were thousands of people there this year, but luckily we got a great spot to play and watch the fireworks. I ended up going to bed at 10:30 that night (the latest ever) and didn't pitch one fit about it! Unfortunately for Mommy and Daddy, I still woke up at the same time the next morning. I am not allowing any sleeping in on the weekends until I'm at least a teenager.
