Father's Day

Anyone who knows me knows that I loooooooove Mommy . . . I mean, A LOT . . . no, seriously . . . I love her very, very, very much. Next, I love my brother Chopper. But, if we're only counting two-legged creatures, then I would say that I love Daddy next. Chopper and I follow him to the door when he leaves in the morning and then we rush back towards the garage when we hear him come home (or at least when Mommy says with relief, "Daddy's home!").

For Daddy's second Father's Day he didn't get a "duty-free" day like Mommy did on Mother's Day (again, I don't quite understand the reasoning behind that), but I did give him a golf outfit and a gift certificate for a massage. He is very special to me because of the time that we spend together. One morning when I was in "jail" (i.e., that darn play yard), Mommy suggested that he get in it with me to experience how it felt. I cried a bit because I saw Mommy and wanted her to get me out of that cramped space, but Daddy was acting silly and kept me entertained.

Difficulty accepting the obvious

I may only be 19 pounds, but I love to eat and drink. When I don't get what I want, I get upset!

Rare moments

There are only a few things that can get me to settle down and stay still but one of those things is watching the Wiggles in the morning. I'm not sure what it is about that show, but I will stop whatever I'm doing when I hear them singing. Nothing else can get me as focused as those four guys (not to mention that wacky Wags). Now, I can't concentrate for the entire 22 minutes that it is on, but a full five minutes is almost a miracle. One morning I was watching for several minutes and Mommy got the very end of my trance; I obviously had to stop because I was being watched which was quite distracting (that woman never leaves me alone- I love her but I wish that she would get a life of her own).

Sleeping positions

Way back when I was a baby, I only slept on my back and HATED being on my stomach.

As I got older, I often slept with my legs up.

Now I like to scare my parents by sometimes sleeping with my nose and mouth buried flat into the mattress- but they haven't caught that one with the camera yet. Usually, though, I'm on my knees.

When I really want to freak them out, I sleep on my feet with my bottom straight up.

Ok, so I'm not fully asleep like that but I'm in the process of it. Mommy keeps trying to catch it on video but she tends to wake me up and I end up laying back down.

Waiting for Daddy

At the end of the day I'm at my fussiest and Mommy appears quite tired for some reason. Often I hear her say, "Where is your father?". She must miss him a lot when he goes to work. The other day Chopper and I kept a look out for him since Mommy really seemed to want him back home right away. Please excuse my lack of clothing, I just got up from a nap.

Jail

Nona and Papa gave my folks this superyard for me to play in when they are busy (what else could they possibly need to do when I'm around?). They are so mean for putting me in it because I feel like Chopper probably does in his crate. Did I do something wrong?

Swimming at Nona and Papa's

I went swimming for the first time at Nona and Papa's house this past Saturday. It has been raining so much here that I really haven't had the chance to go. Also, all the rain has made the pool quite cool so I didn't like getting in that water at first. After a while of Mommy and Daddy holding me, I got used to it and started to like splashing around. I eventually got in a floatie. It turned out to be pretty fun. Since this was Mommy's first time in a bikini since having me, there are no pictures of her! But, do you like Daddy's farmer's tan?
