Reese's Birthday Party

Last Thursday was Reese's birthday and she turned the big five. Lola, Papo, and even Lola Arlene came up for her swim party at the natatorium this past weekend. I couldn't wait to go swimming again, and Mommy was super excited to get into a bathing suit this early in the season.

Easter

Aunt Mimi, Uncle Sam, and Nona went to Russia last week to get my new cousins Natalie and Gavin. They'll all be back on April 10th and I can't wait to meet them. So instead of Easter dinner at Nona and Papa's this year, we went to Kyleigh and Mikinley's house after church (Papa came with us). I got to play on their trampoline (i.e., bone breaker) and swing set. In addition, the girls took me for a ride on their jeep. I noticed that all the toys at their house are pink for some reason, but they still worked the okay. It wasn't the same without the rest of the family, but I still had fun with the girls.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here are some pictures of the Easter Egg Hunt at Mary Katherine's last weekend. First we played at her house, then we went to a nearby park to find the eggs. I only got about ten because there were some hard-core hunters there, but that's all I needed. Afterwards we went back to MK's house for dinner (and "juice" for the adults). We had a lot of fun and Mommy can't wait to eat all the candy.

Clarification

In my previous entry I wrote about my first girlfriend, but I was quickly corrected. My first girlfriend was actually Isabelle, however we've only seen each other once and it appears that she now has the hots for her neighbor, Ezra, in Little Rock. She still has a special place in my heart, but I don't play second fiddle to anyone so we've been more like blogger pals.

My First Girlfriend

Sometimes Mommy drops me off at Mary Katherine's house to play and now we have a special bond. This past weekend she and her brothers, Ford and Payne, had an Easter egg hunt and dinner at her house (pictures to come later) so we had another date.

Meds, Meds, Everywhere!

One of the many benefits of having a physician in the family is all the free samples of medicine to play with- thanks, Papo! Mommy and Daddy keep everything neatly organized in containers and drawers in our cabinets. However, I use them as a sorting activity. Don't worry, I always put everything back where I find it- Daddy can sense when things are out of place (Mommy calls it part of his OCD).

Troy Aikman- Daddy's New BFF

Last Thursday night Daddy and some of his coworkers got the VIP treatment when they went to the taping of the Gordon Keith Show (all you P1 listeners of The Ticket will know who that is) at Channel 8. Troy Aikman also happened to be one of the guests that night so Daddy got to hang out with him in the "green room." Troy added to Daddy's collection (which I'm assuming will be passed down to me one day) and autographed a football. It was so surreal to him (Daddy, not Troy) to sit with a three-time Super Bowl Champion and Hall of Famer. It was almost as exciting as the day he got married and the night I was born. At least, that is what he is assuring Mommy.

Daddy and Troy Aikman in the green room (not only is Troy actually eight feet tall, he was also standing on a box for this picture):

Another Snowfall

It snowed again all afternoon and evening yesterday, but this time I really liked playing in it. Mommy even managed to put a cap on my head for the first time without me protesting much. We went out twice and I didn't want to go back inside either time (despite my fingers turning red). This morning it's all starting to melt away but I keep bringing Mommy to the window and showing her the "no."

Springtime Snow

I realize that it's not officially spring, but since the weather has been so mild lately it just seems like we've hardly had a winter. Despite the fact that it was 70 degrees this past weekend, it snowed a lot last night. I wasn't that fond of it falling on my head so I mostly just watched the accumulation through the window. Daddy was so excited about it that later in the evening he walked to the park by himself to see it all (probably scaring all of our neighbors). The next morning, most of the snow was still on the ground. I wasn't a big fan of walking in it, but it was pretty just to look at. People here get a little freaked out about even the smallest bit of moisture during freezing temperatures, so Mommy was very thankful that my school wasn't cancelled.
